Variables
Hammond's Flycatcher
Occurred the most disproportionately in hexagons with annual
precipitation of more than 431 mm and a relatively large area of public
land. In drier regions (359-431 mm annual precipitation), its
distribution corresponded mainly with presence of mixed conifer forest
(Northeast Oregon). In the driest part of its Oregon range (269-359 mm
annual precipitation), it occurred mainly in hexagons with May
minimum temperature (hex. med.) of -1 to 1 C. The logistic
regression analysis showed positive or negative association with mixed
conifer forest (Northeast Oregon), road density, May precipitation
(hex. avg.), May precipitation (hex. max.), June maximum temperature
(hex. min.), and-to a lesser degree-true fir - mountain hemlock
montane forest and elevation (hex. avg.).
